The Algeria will participate as a guest of honor at the International Crafts Fair scheduled in Lisbon (Portugal) from 28 June to 6 July, said Thursday a statement from the Ministry of Tourism and Handicrafts.
Algeria is represented in this show is one of the most important cultural events in Portugal, by the National Agency for Handicrafts (ANART) and artisans representing 35 different specialties.
Algeria's participation in this event will be marked according to the same source, with exhibitions "highlighting the rich national heritage and diversity of Algerian handmade product."
International Crafts Fair in Lisbon will also be a chance to "promote the destination Algeria in the Portuguese tourism market and make known the riches concealed in the Algerian market in the tourism and craft areas."
To mark the event, the Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts, Nuria Yamina Zerhouni, will visit 4 working days (from June 27 to 30) in Portugal, along with executives of his department.
The visit comes, the source said, as part of efforts by the two countries under "the exchange of experiences and know-how for the strengthening of bilateral cooperation."
During this visit, Dr. Zerhouni "will hold several talks and meetings on cooperation opportunities in the tourist areas and craft."
